Crimes are a common day occurrence in today’s world, but some crimes just seem completely inhuman, like the one that occurred in Bethany, Oklahoma recently.

Tona Herndon, a 78 year old woman, went to visit her late husband’s grave, where she was attacked by a robber, who ran away with her purse. The purse had around $700. There was no one around to help the woman during that incident.

This was shown in the local news channels, and caught the attention of several residents who were furious.Finally, the police did capture the robber. However, they couldn’t find the stolen money.

Christian Lunsford, a 15 year old kid, was the robber’s son. When he realized what his father has done, he wanted to rectify his actions. So he went to Tona and offered her $250 from his savings, to repay her for the sins of his father.

However, Tona couldn’t take the money and returned it to the kid. This act of kindness made Christian a local hero overnight, which helped in restoring the faith in humanity in the residents of the town.
