Must read

There are many different types of everyday and normal habits that all of us have. Habits are a part of life and we need them to keep living. We have habits such as smoking or even just making a cup of coffee for breakfast in the morning to start your day. But for this woman, her habit that seems ordinary in every sense of the word, to have a hole in her nose. A habit for beauty turned into the beast! Read on for the whole story.

1. A normal Habit

This woman lives in Tennessee and will now have to stop her every day habit for her life, let alone the hole she will have to live with for the rest of her life.[adinserter block=”16″]

2. Meet Jade

This is Jade Thrasher as seen below with her loving husband Matthew also works as a nurse. Her habit started to form a weird looking sore on her nose which was noticed by her father Charles.[adinserter block=”16″]

3. The Tan

“There was so much pressure to be tanned – everyone wanted to be bronzed,” Jade explains, according to Daily Mail. “It is seen as unattractive to be pale where we live in Nashville.”[adinserter block=”16″]

4. Spot

Jade eventually started to feel nervous that wound hadn’t healed yet, and especially so because it started to burst. It was now time to go see a doctor and get a biopsy done. Luckily she did, because it was a cancer wound.[adinserter block=”16″]

5. Surgery

She was then moved to the Vanderbilt University Medical Centre in Nashville where she saw a few specialists for them to decide what they were going to do to help her. When the surgery had started, the doctors had to cut out a hole the size of a dime in her right nostril and then cut out flesh off her chest to replace the skin taken out of her nose which also leaves a 6-inch scar on her chest. All this as a result of her tanning habit.[adinserter block=”16″][adinserter name=”5th page”][adinserter block=”16″]

6. Warning

“I want teenagers to see the photo of the hole in my nose so that they know what could happen,” Jade admits “I used to have a sunbed in my house, but I’ve thrown it in the trash. I didn’t want to sell it, because I didn’t want anybody else to go through what I went through. I definitely regret the years of tanning, but in a way I saved my skin at a young age because I got cancer.”[adinserter block=”16″][adinserter name=”6th and multiple”]

7. After the Surgery

Regardless of what happened to her, Jade was actually very lucky that she had realised something was wrong and then went to the doctor when she did. If she had left it longer, she would have had to go for chemotherapy or she could even have died from cancer. But she has made a full recovery, of which it took two months for her pain to go away. She also had laser surgery done to remove the scars on her nose and chest. [adinserter block=”16″]

8. Jades Lesson Learnt

Hopefully Jade has now learnt a big lesson about how dangerous the sun is let alone a tanning bed. She now wears the strongest sunblock of an SPF 50. She says that, “When you’re a teenager you think you’re invincible – but, you’re not.” You have to be confident in your own skin, regardless of what color it is.”
