When it comes to crimes, such as burglars breaking and entering houses and then getting injured and suing the owners for their injuries and then winning! So it comes as no surprise that not long after new laws for animal cruelty have been put into action, then this happens!
1. The Ban
A particular Filipino group has been arguing that they should be allowed to use dog meat in their cuisine and it should be completely unbanned. They said that not being able to eat dog meat is a violation of their own particular religious right, which is actually fair.

2. Pugan de Manila Eatery and Fine Dining
Permission was given to the Pugan de Manila Eatery and Fine Doing to serve dog meat with restrictions while the court contemplates the merit of the case and its entirety. They are only allowed to ‘Humanely’ slaughter 3 canines per day to sell for consumption.

3. Disagreement
This move has now stirred a lot of disagreements, particularly by the World Animal Protection Agency. They find this decision ridiculous and ‘Shocking’ and will fight against the act so that innocent animals won’t have to die for human consumption.

Eating dog meat is considered a normal thing in the Philippines. There are many restaurants that serve this meal at quite an average price. In their land, $3.8 million dollars per year is what selling dog meat earns with over 500, 000 dogs slaughtered.
