Newswatch28.com reports FDA (Food and Drug Association) announced recently that they have accepted the request by the pharmaceutical company, Johnson & Johnson, to allow them to manufacture and sell tranquilizer dart guns to help them put their kids to sleep. This would be a brilliant device for parents, especially if it is a difficult job to put their kids to sleep. These dart guns can put kids to sleep within 4 seconds, without any long term side effects.
As per report, the gun can shoot up to 30 or even 40 meters and remains effective for 6 to 8 hours on a single dose. However, the company has asked the parents not to resort to this device more than 3 times in a day. Ernie Knewitz, VP of media relations at Johnson and Johnson, reported that they were experimenting about the perfect drug for quite some time, since there was a huge demand for such a device from parents.
Finally, they have managed to find the perfect combination, a mix of PCP and a heroin derivative, which won’t affect the child in the long term.
These will be released to the public in July this year. They will come in three different sizes –for new-born to 5 years old, from 5 to 12 and over 12. Some health organizations, however, believe that FDA has taken the wrong decision, and this solution needs to be changed.
VP of Children’s Aid Society, a private charitable organization providing foster care, claims that this is completely immoral and parents should never shoot their kids with darts filled with heroine. However, amidst this controversy, the dart guns are still set to release in July.
