A 14-year-old girl from Texas, after getting her flu shot, became very sick along with cramps and fever. When her mother realized that she was not getting well, she brought her to the Woman’s Health of Forth Worth medical clinic. She discovered a shocking news after visiting the hospital. Dr. Hersch, from that clinic, told her that her daughter was pregnant.

She also said that all of the symptoms of the girl were clear indications of her pregnancy. However, the girl stated that she wasn’t lying and she had never had intercourse with a boy. Finally, when they checked her hymen, it was intact, clearly proving that she was right all along.

The doctor was stunned after seeing this, but she researched this topic and found out that this was a common phenomenon. They family will keep the baby, however. They consider this as a gift of God and believe it is a blessing in disguise.

Pregnancies related to vaccines are still controversial. Alexa Goldberg, a Ph.D. student, is curious as to why this happens. She believes that this should be researched extensively to prevent such incidents in future. This case isn’t unique as well. 11 young girls in Mexico, with ages ranging from 11 to 17, said that they got pregnant due to flu shots in 2013. It was later found a “contaminated batch” was the cause.
