Pokémon Go: Rare catch causes a Central Park stampede

Pokémon Go has been drawing gamers in droves to capture ‘em all, and lately New York City’s Central Park featured a capture that brought on a frenzy.

Due to the game’s system of drawing gamers into realworld locations to trap the numerous types of Pokémon, there have been occasions where a crowd has formed to gain a rare a part of the Pokédex. A video released Friday, which you can see above, shows players rushing into Central Park late Thursday night to capture the rare Eevee evolution, Vaporeon.

A similar scenario happened out Wednesday in Bellevue, Washington. Hundreds of gamers, ones that are usually into game apps that pay you real money, stormed a park when Squirtle, some other rare Pokémon, found there.

Pokémon Go, that is now the biggest mobile game in U.S. records, is available on iOS and Android. Just don’t get caught cheating or play the game at the same time as watching a movie.
